Hanne Boel (born 31 August 1957 in Copenhagen) is a Danish musician and singer.
Boel
is a trained music teacher from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in
1980 and then studied one year at the Berklee School of Music in Boston.
When she returned home, she worked as a music teacher for several
years, but was also a member of the group Blast from 1981 to 1986. After
that she served a term as chorister until she in 1988 released their
debut album Black Wolf.
Boel regarded as a soul artist and her music
is described as a mix of soul, jazz and pop. She has pr. 2004 sold over
2.5 million albums and is considered Denmark's best-selling artist. Åge
